Project #4 - Full MERN-stack with CRUD '“Campster”

For our final project with General Assembly, we were challenged with learning React in weeks and building an original application that utilized the MERN-stack and included user-centric CRUD. While this was by far the most challenging experience I’ve had as a developer, it was also the most rewarding.

Halfway through building this app I was introduced to “hooks” in React and almost immediately wanted to change out my class-based models with functional components. This will be the target of the rebuild for Campster and is the only reason besides getting better with more practice using React that I’ll be building this app again from the ground up! Future improvements include multiple API sources to get an all inclusive app that integrates weather, astronomical data, and location services to make sure the next camping or road trip is one everyone remembers.
